| Thermoforming | Thermoforming is a technique that involves taking a material form of a plate (glass, plastic ...), heating it to soften and to get in shape with a mold. The material is re-harden as it cools. CAPPI manufactures reusable insulated containers with the thermoforming technique. |
| Injection (plastic) | Injection molding is a technique for producing boxes in large series. It concerns first of all plastics and rubbers. Molds, installed on a special machine (press), most often consist of two shells (fixed and mobile parts) that are strongly pressed against each other at the time of molding and then discarded to allow the ejection. CAPPI manufactures reusable containers for pharmaceutical distributors. |
| Injection (P.U.) |
The polyurethane foam is obtained by mixing polyol and isocyanate. This foam expands and solidifies quickly. The result is a highly insulated material. CAPPI has developed an expertise in this area. This technology in combination with Thermoforming made it possible to commercialize the isothermal shipping tote Thermoformed. |
| Blowing, Filling & Welding | CAPPI uses this technology to manufacture its rigid gel and water packs. In line with this production, the packs are filled and then sealed. With this production method, CAPPI can provide technical and competitive products. |
| Expanded molding | CAPPI uses this technology in particular for their high thermal insulation and consisted quality. They are usually part of a kit comprising an envelope having excellent mechanical strength. |
| Hot wire cutting | Hot wire cutting is an easy and economical access to the production of any object. It consists of moving a wire heated through a block of polystyrene, using a cutting machine. This technology enables to produce small series of technical products or proto-types, dimensions can be quite large. CAPPI has developed a special technique to interlock different parts on a solid way, avoiding thermal bridging and easy installation. |
| Bagging | CAPPI owns a new, state of the art machine to produce plastic bags or flexible blankets filled up with different kinds of gel and water. |
